Ann Singer hails from Chicago. She earned a Bachelor's of Theatre Arts from NYU back in the 80s, where she studied with many people who are now world famous. After 5 years of acting in regional theatre, waiting on tables in between gigs and no fame in sight, she embarked on her search for a higher meaning, traveling through Spain for 2 years to teach English and learn Spanish. Searching for higher education, she returned to the US to receive her MFA from San Francisco State University, and continuing her search for higher meaning, she spent the next 5 years living and working in Chile, South Africa and Bosnia.
Upon arrival in Portland, Oregon, Ann decided to stop searching and start living in one place for more than 2 years at a time. She recently returned to theatre, her first love, this time working behind the scenes with Lunacy Stageworks to help launch their inaugural production, Jack and Jill. Ann likes the Lunatics, Portland and her fiancé Alan so much, she has decided to finally stay in one place and live happily ever after.
