Elisabeth Harvey McCumber was born in the beautiful swamplands of New Jersey, and has never gotten over it. Spent ten years in an oven called Texas, finished her education at Southern Oregon University (BA in Literature), and moved to France where she worked as a fille au pair before coming home and marrying Glenn. Her interests are across the board. Aspiring to the visual and performance arts, picking up unfamiliar musical instruments wherever they may be found, and generally attempting to know eternity in a grain of sand, she supposes "artist" is the simplest way to describe herself. As a professional writer (Invisible Ink Freelance) she supplies commercial materials to a variety of businesses; however, the work of her life is mythology. Her goal is first to know the myths of human history, and second to write stories grounded within, across, and beyond the worlds they spin. Her more immediate goal is to publish two manuscripts, a novel and a novella. It's about time these two got off the couch and found a job.
